I’ve been using this for over a year and the profiles in these simulators are very hard to work with. Is there no way to recover a profile? Search one? Etc. All I’ve ever seen is typing in a user name, then hoping that’s the one, especially if an update occurs with the headset and it clears out your user name. I’m not talking about this profile I’m commenting with, I’m talking about the profiles that are saved in the simulator itself.
Browser saves are volatile. They are like browser cookies. If you don’t clear out cookies, they are preserved. They are not supposed to be deleted with system or browser updates. Still, it is very easy to lose the saves.
Recently, I’ve started logging both the nickname and login emails in the gallery uploads. I can look up the lost nickname using your login email. I also found someone’s nickname using his IP address. If you need to find your nickname, contact me personally.
I think I better tie the profile to everyone’s Google login in my next product and provide the cloud save feature for everything. Browser saves are too easy to lose.
